TB3, The Trophy Bike 3-day ...

Come and experience all the excitement, the adrenaline rush, the pain and suffering of the 5-day The North Face Costa Rica Trophy Bike in a shortened 3-day event: the TB3. The event opens on the epic third stage of the 5-day big brother in Arenal. From Arenal riders will test their endurance as they speed along perfect tarmac, climb and descend over rocks and gravel as they head to the finish line in Los Bajos del Toro (92 km), from there we transfer to Tres Rios where the second stage starts. Stage 2 starts in Tres Rios crosses the Irazu Volcano before finishing 86 km later in Turrialba. Stage 3, the final stage, sees an 89 km sprint to the finish in Cano Blanco. Just because the TB3 is "only" 3 days does not mean that it is easier!

The North Face TROPHY-BIKE ...

presents a journey of a dream starting at the Pacific ocean, traversing through volcanoes : ARENAL - IRAZU - TURRIALBA, and ending at the Caribbean ocean"TORTUGUERO", 450 km for 5 stage. Discover a great diversity of landscapes: valleys of bananas, coffee, rainforest, giant ferns, flowers and the 5% of all plant and animal species of the world that Costa Rica covers.

Every participant wears a timing chip, this ensures that all cyclists complete the entire course and also allows the event to classify riders over particular sections of the course - like a long climb. The North face Trophy-bike includes challenging routes, fantastic giveaways, a consumer expo, well stocked aid stations, mechanical support and a fun .

Some bikers come just for the satisfaction of crossing the finish line, some to compete amongst themselves and friends while others come to win, but all come to discover fantastic country rich in fauna and flora! Nevertheless, The North Face is an unforgettable experience! Pura Vida!

The race will now finish in the seaside town of Tortuguero.  People come from all over the world to witness the spawning of the turtles.  The turtles, as well, come from all over the world to lay their eggs on the beaches of Tortuguero, making this place very famous and a "must see" in Costa Rica.  After the finish line we will transfer to Tortuguero by boat, as that is the only way to get there.

Logistics: mission is to assist and help participants: resolution of all matters that may arise along the race-service baggage collection and delivery of various objects lost in the race or in hotels, departure control and arrival of each participant ... Publication of classifications, notes last minute, allocation of rooms and daily distribution room, control of different meals ...
