The event ...

Discover a great diversity of landscapes: valleys of bananas, coffee, rainforest, giant ferns, flowers and the 5% of all plant and animal species of the world that Costa Rica covers. The event starts in Playa SAMARA, one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. From there you cross beautiful and ever changing landscapes to reach the Arenal volcano, which has small eruptions every 15 minutes, and ending at the Caribbean ocean.

While many participants come to endurance stage events with the simple goal of getting to the finish line, there will be fierce competition at the front of the pack for the $20,000 in prize money and in gifts from our sponsors up for grabs in five different categories: Open Men, Open Women,master A,B,C.

The organization of the NORTH FACE TROPHY BIKE announces that the NORTH FACE TROPHY BIKE, is above all an international mountain biking event for everyone: competitors, adventurers, or for those that wish to treat it as a recreational ride. The organization of the NORTH FACE TROPHY BIKE has the pleasure to announce a new, big change resulting in each participant taking full advantage of the event in the following manner :

    COMPETITORS:
    A valid license is required to participate in this event. Categories: Elite (male and female), Master A, B, C

    ADVENTURER:
    Regular mountain bike participants that don't wish to do the event as a competition will take advantage of the courses to discover the beautiful landscapes. This is a true challenge opened to all mountain bike aficionados that look for the unforgettable experience and that wish to challenge themselves or to use as training.

    SAMARA - MONTEVERDE (120km)

    Wednesday October 13 :
    MONTEVERDE - ARENAL (68km)

    Thursday October 14 :
    ARENAL - SAN RAMON (80km)

    Friday October 15 :
    SAN PEDRO - TURRIALBA (86km)

    Saturday October 16 :
    TURRIALBA - ocean CARAIBE (89km)
