Now this exciting cycling tradition has come to Costa Rica! Every participant wears a timing chip, this ensures that all cyclists complete the entire course and also allows the event to classify riders over particular sections of the course - like a long climb. Just like in Italy every Gran Fondo includes challenging routes, fantastic giveaways, a consumer expo, well stocked aid stations, mechanical support and a fun .

TRANSBIKE Costa Rica...

presents a journey of a dream between the ocean and volcanoes. Discover a great diversity of landscapes: valleys of bananas, coffee, rainforest, giant ferns, flowers and the 5% of all plant and animal species of the world that Costa Rica covers. From there you cross beautiful and ever changing landscapes to reach the Arenal volcano, which has small eruptions every 15 minutes.

The TRANSBIKE Expo is an exhibition of consumer brands with expos of accessories and nutritional products. You can find good deals on clothing, equipment and more. The expo also serves as the place for the participants to pick up their race number and timing chip.
