The North Face TRAIL RUNNER invites you to live an adventure out of the ordinary.  The North Face TRAIL RUNNER is a relay running-TRAIL race in teams of 4, 2 or SOLO, racing over 5 consecutive days in the exceptional wild environment of the Costa Rica mountains.

RACE TEAM, TEAM of 4, 2 or SOLO...

A team consists of 4 competitors and 1 or 2 assistants.  Teams may be male, female, or mixed.  The North Face TRAIL RUNNER includes challenging routes, fantastic giveaways, a consumer expo, well stocked stations, mechanical support and fun.

The organization consists of people with experience in running y TRAIL, travel and adventure. Here are the team:

Race Director: his role is to oversee the smooth running of the race, responsible for marking, timing, rules and classifications.
Service of participants: attention to the participants and their claims. Control of accommodation ...
Medical services: medical care during the day of the race.
Logistics: mission is to assist and help participants: resolution of all matters that may arise along the race-service baggage collection and delivery of various objects lost in the race or in hotels, departure control and arrival of each participant ... Publication of classifications, notes last minute, allocation of rooms and daily distribution room, control of different meals ...

The Ethics of The North Face TRAIL-RUNNER ...

The runners, organization and partners are united in the same adventure and share the share the same values:

EQUITY : The rules were conceived for everybody and therefore are applicable to everybody No financial incentives, but the same prize for all runners who finish

RESPECT FOR OTHERS :  Respect for oneself and for others permits absolutely no cheating of any form.  Respect for the volunteers who participate for the pleasure.  Respect for the local population who accommodate the race.  Respect for the organization and its partners.

RESPECT FOR NATURE:  Never litter.  Respect for flora and fauna.  Don’t cut the corners because this provokes erosional damage to the area.  Take advantage, for oneself and one’s companions, of communal transport or car pool.

IMPARTATION AND SOLIDARITY:  Prioritize assisting anybody in danger or difficulty.   Support a charitable association to put one’s own suffering in perspective & to be aware of one’s privileges.

EXPLORE YOUR LIMITS:  Learn to know oneself and develop self-autonomy in order to maximize the commitment in respect of physical and mental integrity.
